Last Monday (April 5) a lawsuit was filed against the DJ Bassnectar, whose real name is Lorin ashton, originally from California and 43 years old, in which Bassnectar allegedly participated in the sexual abuse of minors, in a human trafficking enterprise, as well as in the manufacture and possession of child pornography.
The lawsuit was filed by the firm’s attorneys Lafey, Bucci & Kent with a Nashville lawyer, Phillip Miller, on behalf of their clients, identified as Rachel and Alexis.
According to a statement issued by the attorneys, Rachel and Alexis were “sexually abused as minors” by Lorin Ashton.
The lawsuit also points to the DJ and several companies of participating in a human trafficking venture and accuses Bassnectar of manufacturing and possessing child pornography.
This lawsuit seeks to hold Bassnectar and the corporations that have supported him for years responsible for the ‘child grooming’, abuse and trafficking of minors.
At the time, Bassnectar made a post on his Instagram account, where he said he would be stepping away from music due to the allegations.

Who is Bassnectar, accused of child pornography and human trafficking?
Lorin Ashton is a California DJ and record producer. Bassnectar grew up in the San Francisco area and began working in the visual arts creating films with his parents’ camera.
When he was 16 he started playing in a band called Pale Existence and, in the following years, he became more involved in the entertainment scene.
He began creating music in the 1990s and in the mid-1990s he did a brief tour with the band Exhumed, as a bass player.
Bassnectar’s fame started thanks to the festival Burning man, where he often had several sets per night. His first album was released in 2001 and he performed as Bassnectar for the first time in 2002.
