Demi Lovato is gearing up to release what might be her most personal music video yet. The 28-year-old singer recently released her new emotional and autobiographical single, “Dancing With the Devil,” to accompany her YouTube docuseries of the same name.
Thursday, Good morning america shared a brief preview of the music video for the track, which will be released in its entirety at 11:45 p.m. ET on Thursday.
The video shows Lovato screaming and being restrained in her hospital bed as she sings the soulful lyrics. Disney Channel sports long blonde hair in the music video, which was the same look he looked like in 2018 when he suffered a life-threatening overdose.
In the clip, Lovato is visited by her bedside by three women, who appear to be her mother, Dianna De La Garza, and her sisters, Madison De La Garza and Dallas Lovato.
Lovato’s new documentary series premiered last month and documented her near-death overdose, past trauma, and how she got a fresh start.
A source previously told ET that Lovato “is generally happy with the reaction to her docuseries so far.”
“Demi feels like she was open, honest and open and she spoke her truth,” the source said. “He likes that he was able to share his journey on his own terms and at his own comfort level.”
