Camila Cabello shares what Shawn Mendes has taught her about love

Camila Cabello couldn’t be more grateful to Shawn Mendes. The singer posted a lengthy message on her Instagram Saturday about what she learned about love while in a relationship with the “Mercy” singer.

“I have learned a lot about love with this boy. It is not just the happy and happy moments that you see in photos and videos,” he began. “When you are in a relationship with someone, it feels like this mirror is reflected in you. I have to constantly face my fears, my anxieties, my insecurities, my thought patterns, my beliefs about life and about myself. . It’s not as simple as it looks in the photos sometimes. Sometimes, it’s messy, uncomfortable and ugly hahaha. “

He goes on to explain that “there is nothing like the pull, the FORCE that is love.”

“It’s so instinctive for us to love, even if our minds try to protect us from it sometimes, but our nature as humans is to love,” he continued in part. “And being in love means choosing that person over and over again, to go through the complicated things. And that is much more beautiful, raw and real than perfection.”

Cabello concluded by noting that she loves to be vulnerable on social media so that people don’t just see the “neatness and perfection of life” that is sometimes only shown there. “So raise your glass to the mess and the weirdness of the human being and the miracle. And the ease. And the instinct. And the relentless force that is love.”

Cabello and Mendes first met in 2014 and began dating in July 2019. They have since grown stronger, even adopting a puppy together last month.

Mendes also opens up about his relationship with his beloved in his documentary. Shawn Mendes: Amazed.

“For the last four years, just being friends and not being able to see each other very often, to finally be able to be together, she was always there to take care of me, as a human being,” he explains. “She backs me up, and I think that’s what your partner is for.”
