Anne Hathaway shares that she was the ninth pick for the title role of ‘Devil Wears Prada’: Watch

Anne Hathaway fought for her role in The Devil Wears Prada. The 38-year-old actress appeared on Friday’s episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race and revealed that she was not the best fit for the iconic role of Andy Sachs.

During the episode, a contestant named Rosé asked him for which of his many film roles he had to “fight tooth and nail.”

While Hathaway did not share who the other contested actresses were, Rachel McAdams was previously offered the role, and Claire Danes and Juliette Lewis also auditioned for the title role.

Meanwhile, last month, Hathaway revealed in Tonight’s Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that she prefers to go for Annie and not as the fans and the media have always called her, Anne.

“The only person who calls me Anne is my mother and she only does it when she’s really mad at me, like really mad,” she said. locked shared star. “So every time I go out in public and someone says my name, I think they are going to yell at me.”
