When it comes to 90 day fiancé couple Michael and Angela, has been far from marital bliss since they were married a year ago. ET recently spoke with Angela about starring in the new season of 90 Day Boyfriend: Happily Ever After?, and admitted that she is contemplating divorcing Michael.
Angela, 54, and her journey with Michael, 32, from Nigeria, are already familiar to fans, as the hit TLC show has continued their relationship over the course of several seasons. Angela told ET’s Melicia Johnson that long distances have definitely taken their toll as Michael is still waiting for his visa to be approved to come to Georgia and be with her. Another big issue between the two has been that Michael is against Angela having weight-loss surgery, even though she ended up doing it.
“I was definitely talking to the lawyer,” he says when asked if he has ever contemplated divorce. I said, ‘I’m not going to put up with this. If I put up with this with him all the way, what will it be like here? ‘”.
Angela described her first year of marriage as “hell” and says viewers will see it in this season of 90 Day Boyfriend: Happily Ever After?.
“But at one point I said to Michael, ‘Somehow you’ve changed since we got married and we’re not even living together yet. Don’t take it for granted because there’s always a fucking divorce court around the corner.’ “She says she told him at one point.” I mean, we went to hell. We literally went to hell and it was bad, and you’ll see. “
In a preview for the new season, it’s clear the two are still dealing with trust issues, as Angela is shown buying a tracker to put on her phone. Angela justified her actions, claiming that Michael was exhibiting suspicious behavior.
“Being on the other side of the world, Michael does many things, I do not know if it was to annoy me or not, but he would not answer his phone, it would make me think he was doing something, so I decided to have a tracker on his phone ‘”, Explain. “I said he’s doing something and whether it’s not wrong or not, it still bothers me.”
As for her famous temper, Angela said that Michael definitely stimulates her.
“Michael always gives me a reason to explode,” he says. “He knows how to catch me. I think he likes it when I get mad because it shows that I care for him in a crazy way … The fight is real, girl, the fight is real.”
Despite their problems, Angela said the two still hope and pray that he can come to the United States after waiting three and a half years. He noted that he does not listen to his critics.
“I know deep down in my heart that we love each other and we have a lot to solve, but we can’t do it over long distances, you just can’t,” he says. “We’ve gotten this far, we’re probably going to have more bumps … We’re going to have our ups and downs, still, that’s part of being married in the first year. Even though we’re married for one year, it’s not really a year until we stand up together … the basic things that you have to get used to living together. I think we’ll be fine. I just think that, uh, we have stories and stories ahead of us. “
