Heidi Klum’s daughter Lenny Klum is raising her in more ways than one. The 18-year-old model recycled one of her mom’s red carpet dresses for a picture-perfect prom look over the weekend.
Lenny shared a series of Instagram photos on Monday, writing, “Prom night in Mamas dress.”
The teenager looked pretty in a little black dress, which she teamed up with a minimal amount of jewellery. Lenny — who usually dyes her hair blonde like Heidi — made a statement with a darker look for the night.
Heidi probably had no problem lending the dress to her daughter, and she shared a heart-eye emoji in the comments section of Lenny’s post. The costume appears to be a nearly 25-year-old LBD that Heidi wore to HBO Comic Relief VIII 1998 event held at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. At the time, Heidi also traded her signature blonde hair for a brunette look.
Like her mother, Lenny has rocked the fashion world over the years, modeling for Glamor GermanyBerlin Fashion Week opening in 2021 and early the same year.
Heidi spoke to ET last week about how she feels as Lenny begins her modeling career. “At first, I was a little worried, honestly,” admitted the 48-year-old supermodel. “She’s wanted to do this for a very long time and I finally agreed.”
The proud mom shared that she “goes to every shoot” with Lenny. “For me, the most important thing is that she has fun,” Heidi said. “And she loves it and enjoys it.”
“She’s been with a camera for her whole life,” Heidi tells of Lenny who’s been on set with her since she was younger. “So she’s never afraid of the camera the way other kids might.”
On May 3, Heidi shared an emotional video celebrating Lenny’s 18th birthday. “Happy 18 Birthday Lenny,” she captioned the post. “I love you with all my heart. Keep shining your bright light forever and ever.”
The 3-minute-long video features intimate family footage, including Lenny’s first haircut and other special moments from his childhood.
