“Peacemaker”, not a special show in Los Angeles

MEXICO CITY.— HBO Max canceled the red carpet and the premiere of the series “Peacemaker” which was due to take place next Saturday in Los Angeles due to the increase in the omicron in the United States.

According to “Deadline”, this decision was made as a precautionary measure before the winter break, as the Covid-19 cases skyrocketed.

“Peacemaker” by James Gunn, produced by Peter Safran and starring John Cena, explores the story of the main character based on the 2021 film “The Suicide Squad”. He is an antihero who believes in peace at all costs.

Danielle Brooks, Freddie Stroma and Jennifer Holland also star in the series.

“Peacemaker”, eight episodes, premieres next Thursday, January 13th, on the HBO Max platform with three chapters, followed by a new one every week.

Gunn wrote all eight episodes of the show and directed five, including the first. Gunn, Safran and Matt Miller are executive producers, and Cena is co-executive producers.
