Halsey is opening up about her battle with the diagnosis. The 27-year-old singer took to his Instagram Story on Wednesday to reveal how long he battled with mystery ailments before receiving multiple diagnoses.
“I just want to clarify for the benefit of friends of friends who may have a diagnosis [sic] Which I recently shared, I ‘just didn’t get sick.’ I was ill. For a long time,” wrote Halsey. “My diseases have names now.”
“I went to the doctors for 8 years. Trying to figure out what was wrong with me,” he continued. “I was called paranoid and anxious and lazy, among other things. I changed my entire lifestyle. When I wasn’t working I was essentially confined to my home for fear that when I woke up every morning How do I feel.”
Halsey concluded, “It also took me a long time to be diagnosed, so I’m celebrating!! Don’t take your eyes off your sick friends. They may be fighting a battle they haven’t named yet. Yep to know ?”
