Guitarist Carlos Santana hospitalized after falling on stage from ‘exhaustion and dehydration’

Carlos Santana is recovering after being hospitalized on Tuesday night. The legendary guitarist fainted on stage during a performance in Michigan.

Santana, 74, was performing at the Pine Knob Music Theater in Clarkston, Michigan, when he collapsed and quickly made an appearance. Video taken by concertgoers Shown that he was conscious and was shaking the hands of the fans as he got off the stage.

Santana’s publicist Michael Jensen confirmed to ET on Tuesday evening that the acclaimed musician had “overtaken heat exhaustion and dehydration.”

Jensen shared that the artist was “taken to McLaren Clarkston’s emergency department for observation and is doing well.”

Santana’s manager, Michael Vryonis, announced via Jensen’s statement that Santana’s planned show at The Pavilion at Star Lake in Burgetstown, Pennsylvania on Wednesday would be postponed to a later date.

according to reportAs well as videos posted on social media, Santana was about 20 minutes into his performance, when he sat on a drum riser, then fell backwards as medical personnel rushed to his colleague.

The musician is currently on Earth, Wind & Fire as well as their summer long Miraculous Supernatural 2022 tour. The tour began on June 17 and will continue till August.
