Both Guillermo and I are happy and proud to continue promoting the aspirations of young Mexican animators”, he said.

It should be remembered that the first year of the scholarship three students were supported, due to the enormous response of the students who applied in 2018. Since then, each year the name of a new talent is added, last year the scholarship went to Ezekiel Garibay“I deeply thank Guillermo del Toro and Alejandro Ramírez for supporting me, for supporting the artists of Mexico to achieve our professional and personal goals,” Narda commented.

This is the beginning of an adventure and I am willing to give everything, because I am aware of the opportunity that they give me, since, in Mexico, as in Latin America, it is very difficult to develop ourselves in this profession of filmmaking. I also thank my family and friends, who are always present and have supported me in this great adventure.”, added the animator and conceptual artist born in Guadalajara, who is moving to France this year.

Narda Rodríguez Vázquez will be part of the 2022-2024 generation of the GOBELINS Master of Arts, a group made up of 26 students of 16 nationalities. “Female representation in the animation industry is on the right track.
