The Prince George, 9, second in line to the British throne, and his sister Charlotte, aged 7, walked behind the coffin of their great-grandmother Elizabeth II as it entered Westminster Abbey for her state funeral.

Eight carriers introduced Elizabeth II’s coffin to Westminster Abbey on Monday, where it arrived in a mount pulled by dozens of sailors for a state funeral before dozens of world dignitaries that will bid farewell to the long-lived sovereign of the United Kingdom.
The coffin, followed on foot by the new King Charles III, the queen’s three other children, Crown Prince William and his brother Henry, arrived at the west door of this Gothic church, after a brief procession to the sound of bagpipes .
