The film industry is in mourning after the death of film director Richard Donner at the age of 91.
A spokesman for the family reported that the film director passed away on July 5 in Los Angeles.
Donner directed the classic “Superman” film released in 1978, with which he established in popular culture the iconic foundations of future superheroes in the film industry.
When Richard Donner cast Christopher Reeve as Superman, the actor was associated with the character for the rest of his life.
In addition to his success in Superman, the director was in charge of such films as 1976’s “The Prophecy” and 1987’s “Lethal Weapon.”
