Disney has shown the trailer for its new animated film. It is “Encanto”, an animated feature film inspired by Colombia. Along with the trailer for the film, the new movie poster and many more details have been released.
This first look at the 60th feature film from Disney studios shows an endearing story inspired by Colombia. The premiere is scheduled for November 24.
“Encanto” shows the story of the Madrigals, a family that lives in an enchanted town in the mountains of Colombia. Each child in his magical house has been granted a unique ability, such as strength or healing powers.
Everyone has that gift less a person named Mirabel. She is the only member of her family who does not possess any special abilities. But she discovers that magic is being threatened and realizes that she may be the only one capable of saving her.
When does “Encanto” premiere?
The new film “Encanto” will be released in theaters on November 24. This features the voices of Stephanie Beatriz from “In the Heights” and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” like the voice of Mirabel Madrigal. Also with Wilmer Valderrama and Diane Guerrero.
The direction is provided by Byron Howard and Jared Bush and the script is by Jared Bush and Charise Castro Smith.
The film features eight original songs written by Lin-Manuel Mirandto, writer of “In the Heights” and the Broadway play “Hamilton.” Miranda is a longtime Disney contributor. In 2014 he wrote songs for “Moana” but also
he has written songs for “DuckTales” and “Mary Poppins Returns.”
One of the songs, called “Colombia” is interpreted by Carlos Vives, one of the most recognized Colombian singers worldwide.
