MEXICO CITY.— Eiza González has already chosen her next acting challenge: giving life to “La Doña”, María Félix, in a bio-tape that she will produce herself, according to Deadline.
The “Baby: The Crime Apprentice” star teamed up with the Mexican film star’s heirs to develop the feature film, which will be directed by Emmy winner Matthew Heineman; it is hoped to find a Latin American scriptwriter to adapt the life of María Félix to the big screen.
Along with Eiza González, the film will be produced by Dana Harris and Nicole King for Linden Entertainment; Walter Rivera will serve as executive producer on behalf of the heirs of María Félix.
“Maria’s tenacity and fierce way of living through some of the toughest adversity I have ever witnessed has inspired me and many more. I am honored to play her and to bring her voice and story to the world, ”said the actress.
