Drake broke an all-time Beatles record that no one had broken in 55 years

This week it was revealed that Drake broke an important record held by The Beatles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It was thanks to his recent collaboration with DJ Khaled, titled staying alivewhich debuted at No. 6.

With that new hit, Drake now has 30 singles that were in the Top 5 of the rankingsurpassing the record that the Beatles had, with 29 hits, an achievement that stood for 55 years.

As reported by the specialized magazine Billboard, this new Drake hit also means that he now has 100 songs in the top 20 of the Hot 100, more than any other artist in the 64-year history of the list.

On his official Instagram account, @champagnepapi, the rapper wrote the following. “Ok I broke my records for the month now Stake and I need you to do your thing Bitcoin,” he captioned a video of himself winning $5.13 million in a virtual roulette game, followed by a Bitcoin tracker. showing the $24,000 won.

Also, Drake posted a photo of him at a lavish dinner with an empty decorated plate that read: “Another celebration.”

And in another story, he showed a luxurious diamond watch and bracelet that he bought to celebrate.

Another great record in 2021

In January of last year, Drake became the first artist in history to surpass 50 billion streams on Spotify.. The rapper reached that record thanks to his song God’s Planwhich launched in 2018, and since then has accumulated more than 1.67 billion listeners on the platform.

The Canadian’s record was announced through the Twitter account of the music news site Chart Data. Another music data portal, ChartMasters, backed up the data, calculating that Drake amassed more than 35.72 billion streams of his songs, and more than 14.30 billion streams through collaborations with other artists.

Those two figures combined brings the total number to just over 50 billion streams on Spotify. After hearing the news, the interpreter of In My Feelings He shared the account of his feat in his Instagram stories.

Future, the American rapper who has regularly collaborated with Drake over the years, celebrated his colleague on Twitter. “50 billion streams. My God, congratulations to the kid,” tweeted who launched the collaborative mixtape What a Time to Be Alive with the Canadian.

Drake’s list of hits is really long. Just list some of his most popular tracks to understand why he became the first artist to break that barrier on Spotify: One Dance, Hotline Bling, In My Feelings, MIA (feat. Bad Bunny), Jumpman (feat. Future) and the aforementioned God’s Plan.

In addition, the Canadian is the most listened to artist on the platform since 2010. He surpasses popular high caliber artists such as Ed Sheeran, Post Malone, Ariana Grande and Eminem.
