The actor from DDoctor Strange and from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Benedict Cumberbatch will host refugees from Ukraine in his home.

Cumberbatch was one of the players who gave Ukraine the most support.

The actor even raised a Ukrainian flag at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival last March.

Benedict Cumberbatch has now confirmed to Sky News that he will take in several refugees from Ukraine.

“Unfortunately, you are under medical treatment. To say more about them would be an invasion of their privacy, and to say too much about when they are coming and how I will deal with them would be an invasion of my privacy. I want to give them support after the turmoil they’ve been through, and that will be done at my home.”

said the actor.

But that’s not the only measure Cumberbatch is taking to support war-affected Ukrainian citizens.

The interpreter assured that he would pay for the accommodation of other Ukrainian refugees who managed to reach England.

“I’ve tried to help financially with a few cases.”

Cumberbatch counted

Cumberbatch also urged more Hollywood actors to join in support of Ukraine.

With that in mind, he used his speech at the BAFTA Awards to solicit donations from British politicians.

“We have to put pressure on our politicians to keep creating a kind of sanctuary for suffering people here.”
