Deepika Padukone, who arrived in Mumbai last month for questioning by the Narcotics Control Bureau, returned to the set. Deepika has resumed shooting for Shakun Batra’s film in Goa. The film also stars Ananya Pandey and Siddhant Chaturvedi in the lead roles. According to the news, Deepika reached Goa on 8 October and started shooting for the film.
The NCB sent a notice for questioning on September 24 after Deepika’s name surfaced in the ongoing investigation in Sushant’s case. Ever since he started shooting films, he has shot a total of light scenes with Ananya Pandey and Siddhant Chaturvedi. Deepika has gone missing on social media after her name surfaced in a drug chat.
Release date and work delay due to being locked
The film was scheduled to be released in March 2020, but due to Corona the work stalled. The shooting of the film did not continue for about 6 months. However, it was during this period that Shakun Batra found time to work on the script of the film. Initially it was decided to shoot the film in Sri Lanka but this was not possible due to Corona. He then decided to shoot in Goa. The rest of the film will be shot in a studio in Mumbai.
NCB inquiry revealed
In the 2017 WhatsApp chat, Deepika said ‘hash’ and ‘mal hai kya?’ The same admin of the group as the line was written. Apart from Deepika, her manager Karishma Prakash and Riya Chakraborty’s former manager Jaya Saha were also fans of the group. The group was removed a few months ago. The group was joined by many famous celebs and their managers. NCB has received several drug chats from the group, on the basis of which NCB can register a case for operating a drug syndicate.
Deepika’s next project
Apart from this film, Deepika Padukone also has Kabir Khan’s ’83’ with Ranveer in the lead role. He will play the role of Kapil Dev, with Deepika playing Kapil’s wife Romi. Deepika is also a remake of the Hollywood film ‘The Intern’ and Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathan’ in the lead role.
