Keke Palmer and Common are working together again to host the third part of Youtube Originals. Be a witness, take action.
Similar to the first two components, which aired in 2020, the actress and rapper will host the six-part series of special events that will hand the microphone over to black YouTube creators, allowing them to tailor themes and stories from the black creators’ perspective. to explore content related to race, culture and everything in between. Palmer and Common will also sit down with each creator to unpack their pieces and learn how the films are changing the world.
This year’s edition features content from YouTubers like YouTube star Asia Jackson, Jacques Slade, Justin James and The grapevine Hosts Ashley Akunna and Donovan Thompson. Stars like This is us‘s Sterling K. Brown, Dear white people‘s Logan Browning, Smino, Tinashe, Dominique Jackson and George M. Johnson will borrow their voices, appearances and life stories in each short film.
Be a witness, take action is the first project from the #YouTubeBlack Voices Fund, a multi-year commitment that aims to empower and develop the voices of black creators and artists and their stories “by giving them access to resources that will help them succeed on YouTube”.
The specials are presented on the YouTube channels of the individual YouTubers, and the hosts’ questions and answers are also posted on the. released YouTube Originals channel.
Be a witness, take action 3 is produced by Issa Raes Hoorae Media and Fly On The Wall. The six featured short films will be broadcast on December 6th, with two films premiering each day through December 8th.
