Chiwetel Ejiofor is set to return to the multiverse in the upcoming MCU for fans Dr. Strange 2!

Just weeks after watching Marvel’s epic new adventures in Phase Four with fans, Ejiofor shared with ET’s Will Marfugi what viewers can expect. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, is on 4th May.

“It’s great, and it’s going to be really exciting,” shared the actor who played magician Karl Mordo in the franchise. “It’s a real pleasure to have that team back together, and the community [Raimi, director of the sequel] Made me kind of a leader for this film, and, you know, I think his work is so extraordinary and has been for so long. So it was very exciting, and I think people are going to really enjoy it.”

Ejiofor and Naomi Harris sat down with ET to discuss their new Showtime series, the man who fell to earthA science-fiction story inspired by the Walter Tevis novel of the same name, as well as the iconic 1976 film adaptation starring David Bowie.

“It’s a sequel, and it’s very different from the movie,” Harris explained. “It’s set 45 years after the film ended, so it’s very different, but it was great to take some of the themes from the film and expand on them further.”

“It’s just so iconic,” Ejiofor said of the Bowie film. “Every frame is amazing, and you can’t take your eyes off it, you know? And to think that this was one of his earlier performances, it’s amazing, you know, it’s that kind of power. is what he has.”

In the new Showtime series, which premieres Sunday, April 24 at 10 p.m. PT/ET, Ejiofor is the titular alien who arrives on Earth at a critical moment for humanity, and Harris stars as Justin Falls, a scientist and scientist. Has played the role of engineer, which he must conquer. Own monsters in a race to save two worlds. However, the character of Bowie from the 1976 film, Thomas Jerome Newton, appears as part of the story – this time played by the great Bill Nighy.

“I was so excited,” Harris said of being reunited with the acclaimed actor. “I absolutely love Bill Nighy, he is absolutely incredible and I haven’t worked with him since we did Pirates of the Caribbean, Which was many, many years ago. He hasn’t changed a bit, he’s exactly the same. He is so charismatic and energetic and a consistent professional and such a wonderful human being to do the opposite. We had the best time with him.”

“I mean, I’ve known Bill for almost as long as I’ve been an actor,” agreed Ejiofor. “We did a play together when I was in my early 20s, and of course we were in the cast really love, and I’ve known Bill for so many years now. He is an extraordinary actor, an extraordinary person and the kindest and most charming person in the world. So I guess if anyone was going to, in any way, in any capacity, if someone could fill David Bowie’s shoes — and those are exceptionally tough shoes to fill — Bill Nighy is right there. Part of a legend would require a legend to continue, and that’s what we have.”

The series also stars Jimmy Simpson, Rob Delaney, Sonya Cassidy, Joanna Ribeiro, Annalee Olale, Kate Mulgrew and Clark Peters.
