Chaka Zulu, music exec and Ludacris’ longtime friend and manager, was shot Sunday night in Atlanta, Georgia.
Atlanta police confirmed to ET that while officers responded to a report of several individuals being shot at around 11:35 a.m. on Sunday, officers found three adult men with bullet wounds — among them Zulu — and the victims one. Was taken to a local hospital.
One person was later pronounced dead, though officials confirmed to ET that Zulu was one of the surviving victims. Police declined to comment on his current condition.
Massacre investigators responded to the scene to begin an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Atlanta police told ET that the investigation is active and ongoing at this time and that no suspects have been taken into custody.
Michael Seiden of WSB-TV A comment was reportedly received from Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed, who said, “We are fortunate to report that Chaka Zulu is in stable condition and recovering. The family would like to thank everyone for their well wishes and prayers. and demands their confidentiality at this time.”
The incident is believed to have happened in the parking lot outside the Zulu-owned APT 4B restaurant. Diversity Report.
