Canadian comedian Nick Nemeroff dies at 32

Nick Nemeroff has passed away. The Canadian comedian was 32 years old.

The news of Nemeroff’s death was confirmed by his family in a statement on their Instagram page. “It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear brother, Nick Nemeroff,” the post read along with a photo of him doing standup. “Nick’s dedication to standup comedy was tremendous, and he produced amazing results.”

The statement continued, “He garnered acclaim in Canada and the US, becoming both ‘Comic of the Comic’ and a hit with the crowd, who were renewed enamored of his unique cadence, labyrinthine deadpan and misdirected comedy.” “If Nick was on a comedy show, he was guaranteed to leave with new fans. And he deserved it, because comedy was, in many ways, his life.”

The comedian’s family described him as “extremely endearing, supportive of others” and “humble about his many skills and achievements”.

The statement concluded, “Nick lived his life doing what he loved, and that is how he will be remembered.” “RIP Nick. We love you.”

“Kind soul and a truly brilliant and hilarious mind. ️ He will be greatly missed,” wrote comic Dean Smith.

Nemeroff was also remembered in a post by his talent agency, Grand Wave Entertainment. “We are deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Nick Nemeroff,” a Twitter post read, noting that he had been part of the agency since its inception. “We are very proud to see Nick grow into one of Canada’s most popular and respected comedians.”

During his career, Nemeroff was nominated for the Juno Award for Comedy Album of the Year for his 2020 album, The pursuit of comedy has ruined my lifePerformed numerous shows as a standup comic, and appeared on conan before the age of 30.

In June 2021, Nemeroff reflected on his conan appearance, writing, “Goodbye So conan Thanks on TBS and for a cool memory… Excited to see what the future holds for us (swipe to see my favorites) conan clip of all time).”
