For regulars, Natalia Larangera is no new presence. In fact, at the end of last year we enjoyed him as a guest teacher in our country, With a solo performance by pianist Marcella Rogeri.

There Natalia reviewed some aspects of her career. “I don’t come from a family of musicians. I was an influence on my grandfather, he loved the orchestra And when I heard his words, I was fascinated by that word. As my first instrument, I asked for the piano and I started at a conservatory in Osasco, a very small town in So Paulo”, he told Portal. Classical MusicBA,

“I studied there until I was 16, the last three years were decisive as I had to write monthly notes about different concerts. So every month my family would take me to the theater to see a concert, an opera, or a ballet. This is where my profession was born, my desire to become a director…”.

On that occasion, accompanied by the Brazilian director, Marcela Rogeri stood outside at Concert 12 of the Subscription to the Philharmonic Orchestra of Buenos Aires.

The initial spark, at the age of 16…

,At the age of 16 I directed all my efforts to become a conductorFollow its evolution—continuing—with the piano as an instrument, of course. After that I started Management Faculty. We have many winter and summer festivals in Brazil. I tried to take advantage of all the opportunities that I had to direct, do courses, master classes”.

Effect of Ligia Amadio

“I tried to do everything I could, every month I traveled to Brazil to take classes, I met many teachers. One of my biggest influences was teacher Ligia Amadio”, explains Larangera, and share their combined experience At the 3rd International Symposium of Women Directors,

“I was able to participate in all three editions: in Brazil, in Montevideo and the last one online. I was talking about my experience as a young director and as a producer of a project in my city , which used to be called the Asociacione camerata Philarmonica de Indaytuba. “I declare myself Wagnerian!”

“I think mine is a repertoire of stages,” says the director. “I started directing because I really like opera, I’m a person who lives for opera and for programmatic symphonic repertoire. I am fascinated by the repertoire from the late 19th to the early 20th centuries. But I started directing because I love Wagner, I declare myself a Wagnerian!” she laughs.

“It’s a repertoire that I try to do, it’s a half-megalomaniac project for all that it implies. I did works directed by Wagner, symphonies, Siegfried’s ideals, some scenes … but the opera one Life plan. Then I have another stage, like every opera lover, that’s Puccini“, he clarifies.

And by the way, he foresaw future projects: “Now I am doing a master’s degree in directing in Brazil on opera in the Renaissance. I’m Going to Direct the First Opera by a Woman, The Liberazione di Ruggiero dell’Isola di Alsina, by Francesca Cassini.
