BTS to explore solo projects outside boy bands, but aren’t on ‘hiatus’

BTS Army can let out a small sigh of relief! A representative of the famous K-pop band has clarified the statements about the future of the group.

Amid reports that BTS is going on a “hiatus” so the members can explore solo projects, a representative for the band told ET, “To be clear, they are not on hiatus, but there are a few singles at the moment. It will take time to explore the projects and remain active in various formats.”

Announcing the news in a video posted to social media on Tuesday, BTS members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook shared that they are taking time to grow personally. and commenting about the “tiredness” they are experiencing. ,

“It will take some time for each of us to have fun and experience so many things,” Jungkook said. “We promise we’ll return someday, we’re even more mature than we are now.”

RM echoed his bandmate’s sentiments, saying, “I always thought BTS was different from other groups, but the problem with K-pop and the whole idol system is that they don’t give you time to mature. You have to keep making music. Keep doing something else.”

Jimin then offered an olive branch to the band’s dedicated fan base, saying, “We can’t help but think about our fans no matter what. We want to be the kind of artist that our fans are. I think we’re starting to think about what kind of artists we want to be remembered by our fans.”

“I think that’s why we’re going through a difficult period right now, we’re trying to find our identity and it’s a tedious and lengthy process,” Jimin said.

BTS took the world by storm in 2013, bringing K-pop to mainstream music. With hits such as “Dynamite” and “Butter”, the band has become a household name and a radio sensation.
