The inevitable joke of Oscar’s slap

With the vast majority of 70 categories, in previews created from 4:00 p.m., there was no shortage of jokes and context before the much-talked-about and controversial Will Smith slapped Chris Rock in the face.

The note was given by comedian Nate Bargatze, who was to announce the winner and took to the stage with the helmet on. “Now you have to come dressed for the award ceremony because anything can happen,” he said.
