Britney spears continues to rejoice at the end of her tutorship. The pop star, 39, reflected on her legal journey and revealed that she is now taking the “right medicine” in an Instagram post shared on Monday, November 29.

The singer reflected on the “change” after a judge ended her guardianship, put in place in 2008, in a Los Angeles court on Nov. 12, giving her control over her person and her estate. “That beautiful… nice… and warm fuzzy feeling when you’ve waited patiently for 13 years to be able to live your life the way you want and it’s finally here !!!!” Britney captioned a photo of a cozy holiday fireplace.

“Lighting my candles is a joy, folks,” she continued. “And you might be surprised because my prayers are so damn powerful, ESPECIALLY when you take the right medicine barely a month ago !!!!” Britney added that it feels “so good” to “BE HERE and be PRESENT”, without “doctors or curators.”

“Since I can actually PRAY now, I hope that in just 3 months there will be a change for me… I mean who knows,” she continued, ending the message with a Snoop dogg quote. “I won’t thank anybody, I’m going to pull a @snoopdogg and say thank you for believing in ME,” Britney wrote.

Britney’s 13-year-old guardianship ended after her ex-father Jamie, 69, was suspended as co-curator in September, a role he had held since the legal arrangement was put in place in 2008. Among the many troubling allegations, Britney said the people behind her the guardianship forced her to take medication that she didn’t want to take, including lithium, so as not to “cooperate” with their period. “After I said no to Vegas, my therapist made me sit in a room and told me that he had received a million phone calls telling me that I was not cooperating with rehearsals and that I had not taken my meds, ”Britney told court. “It was all wrong. He immediately, the next day, put me on lithium out of nowhere.

“He took away my usual medication that I had been taking for five years. And lithium is a very, very strong drug that is completely different from what I was used to, ”continued Britney. “You can become mentally deficient if you take too much, if you stay there for more than five months. But he put me on it and I felt drunk. . . I couldn’t even have a conversation with my mom or dad about anything. I told him I was scared, and my doctor asked me to follow six different nurses with this new drug, to come to my house, to stay with me to watch myself with this new drug, which I never have wanted to take to start.

After the end of his guardianship, Britney thanked her fans on November 16 Instagram video. “My voice was muffled and threatened for so long and I couldn’t speak or say anything,” Britney said. “Because of you, I honestly think you saved my life in some way, 100%. “
