Britney Spears calls her fellow pop star Christina Aguilera for “refusing” to speak about her guardianship situation in a recent interview.
Britney spears just called Christina aguilera for not having fully supported her after her release from the trusteeship that dominated her life for 13 years. In a red carpet interview at the 2021 Latin Grammy Awards, Christina answered questions if she and Britney had “had any communication” since Britney was declared free. The “Dirrty” singer made an awkward face and her publicist interrupted her to say, “No, we’re not doing this tonight, I’m sorry.” Christina then stepped in and said, “I can’t… but I’m happy for her.”
After watching the video online, that you can see hereBritney then shared the clip on her Instagram Stories and wrote a message for Christina about it. “I love and adore everyone who supported me … but refusing to speak when you know the truth is like lying !!!!” exclaimed Britney. “Thirteen years spent in an abusive corrupt system, but why is this such a difficult subject for people to broach ??? It was I who went through there !!!!
Britney continued: “All the supporters who spoke out and supported me, thank you… yes I count !!!!!” HollywoodLife has contacted Christina’s rep for comment, but has yet to receive a response.
Christina had already shown her support for her fellow pop star on June 28 when she took to twitter to call Brit’s guardianship arrangement. “The last few days I’ve been thinking about Britney and everything she’s going through,” Christina wrote. “It is unacceptable that a woman, or a human being, wishing to control her own destiny is not allowed to live her life as she wishes.”

Christina continued in the tweet with a longer message for Britney, explaining how “every woman should be entitled to her own body, her own reproductive system, her own privacy, her own space, her own healing and her own happiness” . (Britney testified that under guardianship she was forced to wear an IUD to prevent her from having more children.)
Christina continued, “The conviction and despair of this call for freedom leads me to believe that this person I once knew lived without compassion or decency on the part of those in control.” She concluded the post by saying that Britney “deserves all the freedom possible to live her happiest life,” stating “My heart goes out to Britney. She deserves all the TRUE love and support in the world.
Although the “Lady Marmalade” singer did her due diligence to Britney with the above Twitter feed last summer, perhaps her red carpet misstep was still a shadow for the “Stronger” singer, who has just rebuilt her life as a completely free woman.
