Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan is almost a year old, but his fans still remember him and share old videos of him on social media. Recently another video has gone viral on the internet, which is quite special. The video is of 1987 when Irrfan acted in the National School of Drama (NSD) in Delhi.
In this play, Irrfan Khan has written an essay on Russian revolutionary ‘Lenin’. The video by Irrfan is from the Doordarshan show Gha Lala Ghar Par Nelle Ghode, a Hindi adaptation of a Russian drama Horse Blue Horse on Red Grass.
Irfan played the role of Lenin, the Russian revolutionary who served as the head of the Soviet Union from 1917 to 1924 and the head of the Soviet Union from 1922 to 1924. In this drama, Irrfan is seen with his wife Sutapa Sikdar and actress Mita Vashisht, that is, Sutapa was also interested in acting. Irfan and Sutapa later married on 23 February 1995. Regarding Irrfan, Sutapa wrote on social media- ‘It is difficult to understand how magnificent, beautiful, painful and exciting our journey has been’.
After Irrfan’s death, his co-star and NSD batchmate Mita Vashistha also remembered him as a mischievous person. He said in an interview that- ‘He was a mischievous person, he always pulled my leg, but there was a seriousness in his roles, which we all saw in his work.’ Mita further said- ‘We were each other’s batchmates for three years.
