Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone today announced her resignation from the post of president of Jio Mami Mumbai Film Festival. At the same time, the actress has given the reason for leaving the post. Deepika Padukone has said that she is stepping down due to her busy schedule.
The actress wrote on Instagram that she has decided to step down as the president of the Jio Mami Mumbai Film Festival as she will not be able to focus on the film festival.
Let us tell you that in the year 2019, Padukone was appointed as the chairman of the film festival in place of Aamir Khan’s wife and filmmaker Kiran Rao.
Deepika Padukone said that being part of Mami’s board was enriching her experience.
The actress added, “Due to the busyness of my current work, I feel that I will not be able to focus all my attention at the Mami Film Festival.”
Deepika Padukone is working in the film Pathan and Fighter.
