Corona cases are increasing throughout the country. Maharashtra is the most affected state in the country. The Uddhav government has currently put a lockout in the state to control the situation. The shooting of films has also been banned. Many TV shows were planned to be shot in other states outside Mumbai, but in such difficult times, shooting of films is also becoming very difficult.
Vanity vans have also been parked in the parking lot as filming has stopped. Vanity van owner Ketan Rawal said that he has put his van in the service of Mumbai Police as the policemen are still performing their duties. Many policemen were also killed by Corona during the first wave of Corona last year. According to Hindustan Times, about half of the registered vans are deployed in the police service.
These vans were being used to shoot films of many celebrities like Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt and Akshay Kumar. Ketan said, “I have deployed Rohit Shetty’s circus, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi and Anand L. Rai’s film Raksha Bandhan’s vanity van in the service of Mumbai Police.” Ketan Rawal further said that I have several vanity vans and the Mumbai Police is working as a front line worker in the fight against Kovid.
Ketan further said that this is not the first time that he has used his vanity van in social service. He said that last year we had served in the service of women officers. Especially those who were doing their duty in the field. He used it to washroom and change clothes because it was better for him to change clothes and go home in uniform on duty.
