Bob Saget’s daughter Lara honors him by touching Father’s Day post: ‘I love you infinity, dad’

Bob Saget’s daughter honored her late father with a special tribute on Father’s Day. On Sunday, Lara Saget shared an old photo of herself and her father with a special message.

“My dad wasn’t just my dad, he was my best friend. He wore his heart. He didn’t hide it; he wasn’t afraid of love. My dad just wanted to share laughter and love with this world.” She wrote next to a picture of her as a child with her father.

“I’ve seen how scary it can be to love that big one, to open up so completely. It can be easy to be angry, afraid, negative. Maybe because love has infinite qualities, it’s limitless. My dad said Taught me that no matter what life throws at me, how difficult, how painful, how impossible it seems. It doesn’t stop that love. He always chose love.”

She continued, “I am committed to doing this. Love is right here. And it is my responsibility to give it to myself and share it lovingly. I love you so much Papa. Happy Father’s Day.”

In addition to Lara, Saget was the father of Aubrey and Jennifer, whom he shared with his ex-wife, Sherry Kramer.

Bob’s wife, Kelly Rizzo, shared Lara’s post on her Instagram Story. “I love you Lara,” she wrote on the post. “And your dad was a father of sorts and he loved you girls more than anything on earth. I am so grateful that I got to experience his special love for all of you.”

Rizzo also followed up the post with a note dedicated to her husband. “Happy Father’s Day darling…I know you must be enjoying your cigar…either in the backyard or somewhere on the beach. Thank you for the sweet call I got from your girls today and the lovely gifts they sent you.” And you’ll smile talking about how proud you are of them and how they are your whole world. Smoke a cigar and have a martini for all of us today, we love you so much. ”

Saget, who passed away on January 9, was recently honored with the Impact Award during the 4th annual Critics’ Choice Real TV Awards. During the ceremony, Rizzo became emotional as she accepted the award on behalf of her husband.

“Bob’s incredible daughters and I are so honored to be able to accept this on Bob’s behalf. And it’s so bitter, because it still is … it’s so real,” she said. “You look at him, and you look at him, and you’re like, ‘Bob was larger than life.’ He was so full of life. He was a force of nature. And you look at him, and you’re like, ‘How come he’s not on stage right now?’ It still doesn’t make sense. It still doesn’t really count.”
