Billie Eilish spoke to “Vanity Fair” for her fifth interview in five years with the store, and talked about “starting an adulthood” which is “very exciting” and her confidence in her looks.
Billie Eilish, 19, is growing up before our eyes and it shows in her last interview! The singer has proven to not only transform into an adult physically, but emotionally as well, and that’s part of the reason she launched a whole new blonde hair color and cut earlier this year and stick to it. . During its annual meeting with Vanity Show, the talented beauty, who sported black and green hair for a while, explained how she feared changing her looks, including her hair, in her youth because she was “afraid” of what people would think, but now everything has changed because she has changed.
“Before, my attitude was like, ‘I can’t go out, I can’t go here, I can’t go there. “… I couldn’t go to a park or go for coffee, it freaked me out outside. But last year I opened up to it,” she told the store before adding that becoming blonde helped. “If I’m careful and don’t try to be in front of everyone it’s cool…. I didn’t used to do that because my pride was too much. I was like, ‘I only want to be seen if I look alike.’ So I would never wear anything normal.
Billie also compared her previous interviews with Vanity Show to the one she did this year and revealed that in addition to the only look she had for a while, her responses gave a clue to the insecurities she felt. “It’s just me trying to convince myself that I didn’t care.” I was just filled with these inspirational, ready-to-use quotes that I didn’t even agree with most of the time, ”she said. “I was like, ‘I’m overwhelmed, I hate it, everyone wants something from me, I have nothing to give them, I suck.'”
“I feel a lot of pressure, but back then I was loved more, I was kind of loved overall, to be honest,” she added. “And I was scared because I wanted to keep this love. But now tons of people hate me, so I’m not worried anymore. If you love me, you love me, and if you don’t love me , you do not love me.
“I’m starting to have an adult life that’s new to me, and very exciting, and I’ve had new experiences and new people and a lot of love,” she continued.
Although she has grown up over time and now achieves things that she never previously realized, the “Ocean Eyes” crooner said that one thing she has always tried to encourage her fans and her supporters to do from day one is to dress the way they want to dress and be who they feel. “Literally the thing I’ve preached on since I started is wear whatever you want. Dress however you like. Do whatever you want. Speak as you want. Be whatever you want, ”she said. “That’s all I ever said.”
