Get ready to go backstage with Nashville’s brightest stars. Only ET was behind the scenes for CMA Fest with Carrie Underwood, Jason Aldean, Thomas Rhett, and others. The three-hour special airs Wednesday, August 3, on ABC to co-host together with real-life friends and musical collaborators Dierks Bentley and Elle King.

“She’s become one of my best friends in town and she’s so funny. She’s rude, but respectful — rowdy but respectful, I like to say,” jokes Bentley. “He’s just having fun so yeah, my job is just to be a little straight guy and rein him in.”

Jabbs is great fun with the two, who worked together on Bentley’s 2016 hit, “Different for Girls,” and the Kings’ new single, “Worth a Shot.” King’s child, Lucky – who turns a year old next month – makes a cameo appearance in the latter’s music video.

The parents had a lot of friendship at CMA Fest, with Aldean opening up to ET about tour life with their brood.

“It usually looks like a disaster when they’re on the road with me,” he jokes. “There are toys and stuff everywhere. But when they’re not on the bus, it’s actually pretty neat, I must say.”

Aldean has two young children, son Memphis, 4, and daughter Navya, 3, with wife Brittany. He is also the father of two grown daughters, Keely, 19, and Kendall, 15, from a previous relationship. The “Amarillo Sky” singer says her family’s arrangements are in jeopardy when it comes to her touring schedule.

“They get a little tired sitting on the bus, so we try to bring them out for the weekend at least once a month and one week I’ll go out on my own, and then one week it’s just me and [Brittany],” he explains.

Meanwhile, Aldean’s “If I Didn’t Love You” collaborator, Underwood, may have a set of budding entrepreneurs on his hands, who have sons Isaiah, 7, and Jacob, 3.

“My son is working around our farm trying to make money, so we’ll pay him for his work,” she tells ET. Have a huge savings.”

Meanwhile, Thomas Rhett’s growing girl gang clearly has an affinity for the limelight. The 32-year-old is the father of four daughters: Willa Gray, 6, Ada James, 4, Lennon Love, 2, and Lily Carolina, 8 months.

“I think they’re at that age where they’re interested in everything,” says Thomas Rhett. “Willa Gray plays football, Lennon does gymnastics, he takes horse lessons – but when I go to his studio to write or make music, he always follows me. So I know there is some sort of have interest [in music], They always want to be on the microphone.

“And if I’m filming, they want to jump in front of the camera,” he joked: “So they’ve got my ‘center of attention-ness.
