Bad Bunny, Tainy and Julieta Venegas delivered a high-tech and futuristic performance at the American Music Awards 2021.
The artists took the stage to perform their melancholy track “Lo Siento BB”, which is featured on Tainy’s debut album. data, during the award ceremony on Sunday. Tainy and the Mexican singer-songwriter opened the performance. Venegas was absent, instead her face appeared on the screen of the robotic pianist.
Bad Bunny then followed, clad in a white ensemble with a matching hat with a green and red light, as he stood on another platform.
“Lo siento, bebé, no trates de enamorarme o no te hago coro,” purred Bad Bunny.
This was the first time Bad Bunny, Venegas and Tainy performed live the single, which was released in October.
Bad Bunny has been nominated for five awards this year. The reggaeton icon last played “I Like It” with J Balvin at the AMAs in 2018 and AMAs host Cardi B.
Before the performers took the stage, the performers posed on the red carpet, with Bad Bunny rocking a baby blue down jacket with aqua pants, a white tank, and sneakers.
ET also spoke to Tainy, who had annoyed the high-tech performance, and shared how she resembled the song’s music video. He also admitted that he was nervous but “as soon as it’s game time it will happen”.
“I’m excited. Hope people are excited to see it. I know Benito is excited too, ”he added.
