Atlanta finally has a return date.
FX’s Donald Glover series had not aired for a considerable amount of time – over three years to be precise – but on Wednesday the critically acclaimed series officially set a premiere date for Season 3: Thursday, March 24th at 10 pm ET / PT, with consecutive episodes.
Episodes will also be streamed on Hulu the next day. FX plans to release a new teaser trailer during ESPN and ABC’s NBA games this Christmas.
The upcoming season will take place almost entirely in Europe, with Earn (Glover), Alfred / Paper Boi (Brian Tyree Henry), Darius (LaKeith Stanfield) and Van (Zazie Beetz) amid a successful European tour as the group navigated their new surroundings as Outsiders and struggling to adapt to the newfound success they had been aiming for.
“We are thrilled that Atlanta back on March 24th with a new season, “Eric Schrier, president of FX Entertainment, said in a statement. “Once again, Donald Glover, the producers and the outstanding cast delivered another signature season that represents the excellence that defines it Atlanta So great.”
Season 2 aired its finale in May 2018.
