MEXICO CITY (El Common) .— Mexican cinema is price investing in, says Arcelia Ramírez.
“It is a powerful tool to build our identity,” says the Mexican actress.
For Arcelia, whose profession in present enterprise dates again to the mid-Nineteen Eighties, it has been essential to be energetic on the lookout for fascinating tasks.
Considered one of them is the movie “La civil”, directed by Teodora Ana Mihai, a narrative that was praised on the Cannes Movie Pageant with an eight-minute ovation.
Simply because the movie impressed by the case of a Mexican mom whose daughter was kidnapped has already acquired good worldwide evaluations, the actress believes that the nationwide trade has been having fun with this recognition in its proposals for a while.
“Mexican cinema for many years has been collecting international awards all the time and having a lively and powerful presence in the best festivals, so I believe that we have the responsibility and obligation to continue supporting an artistic manifestation that needs a large budget” .
In “La civil”, Arcelia explains that the director Teodora and the co-writer Habacuc Antonio De Rosario did an investigation of virtually six years, which is an instance of effort, dedication and audacity.
Braveness, explains Arcelia Ramírez, was the explanation that led them to be awarded at Cannes within the part “A certain look”.
“I think it is a project that in many ways responded to this attitude (courage), it is a project that combines the courage of the director, the co-writer to write this story, to make it, the courage of my character, of the production for making it under the conditions in which we made it: red traffic light in Durango ”, he relates.
“It is a very eloquent, very beautiful award, we are very happy with the standing ovation, the response of the jury and the identification that the public had,” he concludes.
