Anne Hathaway is looking back to move on. The 39-year-old actress celebrated. 16th anniversary of the devil Wears Prada With a throwback Instagram post on Friday.
Hathaway wrote, “Happy anniversary to #TheDevilWearsPrada, with special love to the wonderful @patriciafield! She dressed us in the most incredible, iconic and delightful outfits that somehow continue to serve 16 years later,” Hathaway wrote. “That’s magic.”
In the photo, Hathaway is wearing what she recently revealed as her favorite outfit from the film, a velvet Chanel coat styled by Michael Kors. Hathaway actually lived in the same building in which Kors was, she revealed in the interview. “We had the funniest lobby in New York,” she said.
Hathaway took the opportunity to look to the future in his Instagram post. “Looking at the pictures from this lovely film that shaped the lives and careers of many people—including myself—I am struck by the fact that the young female characters in this film built their lives and careers in a country that has His right is respected. Prefers over his own reproductive health,” Hathaway continued. She ended her post by writing, “See you in battle xx.”
Hathaway is one of many celebrities who have spoken out since the Supreme Court last week overturned the Roe v. Wade ruling that established the right to abortion. The ruling marked a seismic shift in abortion law and in some places immediately introduced new rules limiting or restricting access to the procedure in half the states.
