Andy Dorfman talks ‘feeling relieved’ after planning her engagement and an Italian wedding (EXCLUSIVE)

Andy Dorfman is thrilled to have found the love of his life. ET’s Deidre Behr spoke with the 35-year-old ex-Bachelorette at the launch party for JoJo Fletcher’s Kapshe swimsuit line, and Dorfman reveals why she felt “relieved” after being questioned by her fiancée Blaine Hart in March .

“It took 35 years and I finally got one. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. He’s awesome. He’s such a nice guy. I’m excited,” she said. “It’s weird, I kept [news of my engagement] Out there, wasn’t really expecting what people would say. So many people are in their early 30s and single and they’ve said, ‘Oh, that makes me feel so hopeful.’ I’m like, ‘Whoa! Okay. I think so.'”

“I’m relieved,” Dorfman said. “I found the right man. It doesn’t matter how long it took. Just find the right person.”

The pair’s love story is an incredible one, as they once met, years ago, at a college party. He never spoke again till the DM after 15 years.

“We were both in Italy over the summer and he saw I was there. He DM’d, ‘Want to go for a drink?’ I’m like, ‘Sure, but I have friends with me.’ He’s like, ‘I think I’ll take them out too.’ Everything else is history. We’ve been together ever since,” shared Dorfman, adding that their romance “is a piece of home to me, but it’s also something really new for me.”

Dorfman credits her and Hart’s successful relationship to both maturity and timing, saying that the way they complement each other doesn’t hurt either.

“He loves me and I love him and that makes it easier to love each other. There’s no such thing as, ‘Oh, you’re not giving me enough. I’m not giving you enough,'” he said. “And honestly to keep it fun. We all work hard. We’ve all gone through a lot in our lives. A relationship just should be fun for me.”

Before wedding planning begins, Dorfman and Hart focus on building their home.

“It’s overwhelming,” Dorfman said of the wedding planning. “There’s so much out there I don’t even know where to start. I’m like, ‘Oh my god.’ I just want to give it to my fiancé. He’s really good with that kind of stuff. I’m like, ‘You can plan it all and I won’t even complain.'”

Some things have already been decided about their big day. The couple will marry in Italy next year in front of about 75 guests. Of those who would be invited, Dorfman said there won’t be “a ton” of Bachelor Nation attendees, “just because we’re going to make it really intimate.” Viewers at home won’t even be able to watch, because Dorfman doesn’t want to get married on TV.

“I’m sure there will be a lot of pictures. It’s fun to share… I’m sure people want to follow along,” she said. “It’s not going to be top secret by any means, but I think we’ll keep it very intimate.”

As for the most important things to her on her wedding day, Dorfman said “food, wine and just a good time” tops the list.

“I want everyone to feel satisfied. I just want all the guests to come over, no need to think about anything, and just have a great weekend,” she told ET. “are doing [the wedding in] Italy, so I’m thinking pasta, pasta, pasta of course. [We’re going to] carb [our guests] For the dance floor.”

While she looks forward to the day she’ll dance the night away in Italy with her husband, Dorfman was thrilled to be supporting Fletcher’s new swimsuit line with cups.

“It’s awesome. I’m just happy for her. I’m so proud of her. Everything is so cute. Everything she does is cute and chic. So I’m not surprised how amazing it is. Watching this Very cool,” Dorfman hitched to Fletcher’s line. “I love watching my Bachelorette kick a**… Honestly, all bachelors kick a**. We have podcasts. We have clothing lines. We have TV shows.” Bachelorettes are big a**.”
