Johnny Depp was once again in the eye of controversy since it has been accused along with his colleague and musician Jeff Beck of use a fragment of a poem within one of their songs and in which the author’s credits do not appear.

The poem A toastappears in a 1974 book, Get Your Ass In The Water And Swim Like Meby Bruce Jackson, reports Rolling Stone. A toast it’s a form of popular poetry called Hobo Ben and it’s written by a man named Slim Wilson, who did time for armed robbery and it was all documented by Bruce Jackson.

Johnny Depp would have sedated ex-girlfriend to have sex; filter accusation

Depp and Beck collaboration Sad Motherfuckin’ Parade he has allegedly excerpted a number of lines from the poem, including: “I’m ragged, I know, but I don’t have a stink”, “God bless the lady who will buy me a drinkand “What that funky son of a bitch really needs, son, is a bathroom.”

Jackson states that he has not been credited by Depp or Beck.

“The only two lines I could find in the whole piece that contributed are ‘Big time motherfucker’ and ‘Bust it down to my level.’ Everything else is from Slim’s performance in my book,” Jackson told Rolling Stone.

“I’ve never come across anything like this. I’ve been posting stuff for 50 years, yeThis is the first time someone has just ripped something off and put their own name on it.“.

Jackson’s son, Michael Lee Jackson, added that he was looking into possible legal options but stressed that no lawsuit had been filed. But he claimed that the actual credits for ‘Sad Motherfuckin’ Parade’ are incorrect.

“They don’t reflect the actual authorship of those lyrics,” he said. “It’s just not plausible, in my opinion, that Johnny Depp or anyone else could have sat down and created those lyrics without taking them almost entirely from some version of my father’s recording and/or book where they appeared.”
