Chelsea Blackwell lost her dachshund Blue last Monday and was desperately looking for her.

He spent a full hour searching for the pup, but had no clues or clues as to its whereabouts. Until he came across a line of cop cars and people with cameras near the Greyhound bus station in Albany, New York. “I parked and I was like, ‘Oh, was someone shot? What’s going on?’ There were about eight patrols. There were a lot of people with cameras,” said the dog’s owner, Chelsea Blackwell, on Wednesday Blackwell came across a film crew and their search ended with a big surprise. The woman found her 15-year-old dog, who disappeared on the lap of two-time Oscar winner Hilary Swank.

She began asking everyone on set if they’d seen a dog with the traits of hers. Hillary Swank. (Photo by Charles Sykes/Invision/AP) Then a crew member told him that a celebrity had found the pet. A phone call and an hour later a gray car pulled up and there was little Blue sitting in Hilary Swank’s arms. “I said to myself, ‘No way.’ As soon as she got out of the car, I kissed Blue and said, ‘Thank you very much,'” Blackwell said very excitedly. Blackwell asked Swank for an autograph, but the actress made it better, she took a picture!

Swank is quite the dog rescue enthusiast and even has a foundation called Hilaroo (a combination of her name and the name of a dog she owned, Karoo). Through her, Swank brings abandoned puppies to children and families so they can live a decent life. “All the dogs that I’ve rescued and shared my life with have had their unique way of being in the world,” Swank told People magazine a while back.
