A crew member on the hit Netflix series Outer Banks, which was filming in Charleston, has died after being hit by two hit cars on Tuesday morning.

The cast member was identified as Alexander “AJ” Jennings, 22, walking down Sol Legare Road near Cozet Drive at around 2:30 a.m. m when he was hit by a car fleeing the scene. Is North Carolina More Fun Than South Carolina? According to a study, Jennings hit a second car, which also fled the scene, according to Charleston police.

The show’s casting agency, Charlotte-based Kimmie Stewart Casting, confirmed it was a member of her crew. “It is with great sadness that we report that AJ’s mother informed us of his tragic death on Tuesday (…) AJ was a beautiful soul who shed light on set every day,” the casting agency said in a statement. Jennings served as a stunt double for the character John B in season three, which is currently filming in and around Charleston. Chase Stokes, who plays John B, recalled AJ in an Instagram post Wednesday. Stokes revealed that AJ had plans in the music industry and that he was undoubtedly someone who touched the lives of everyone who knew him.

Authorities are asking for help identifying the first car involved in the collision involving series member Outer Banks who was hit and killed in South Carolina by calling 843-743-7200.
