Karthik Aryan breaks ties with Chinese brand OPPO

Actor Karthik Arya of films like ‘Luka Chupi’ and ‘Love Aaj Kal’ has severed ties with Chinese mobile brand OPPO. Karthik has not made an official announcement in this regard. However, this has been indicated by posting a picture. Trade experts confirm this and said that he has become the first celebrity to do so in Bollywood.

a picture on social media on Wednesday (July 8). In this picture, Karthik has an iPhone in his hand. He was clicking a picture of clouds from the window of the house with this phone. Along with the media, Karthik’s fans also started speculating that Karthik has stopped working in advertising for Chinese mobile brands. 

As a business deal celebrity behind the speculation when you are an ambassador of a brand you cannot promote any other brand in social media as per the business deal. Anyone who does so could be in legal trouble. 

What did the trade experts say?

Divya Bhaskar spoke to trade experts about this and he confirmed that Karthik will no longer promote OPPO. He has done so in the context of India-China relations. Karthik is the first Bollywood celeb to break ties with a Chinese brand. It is believed that other Bollywood celebs, inspired by Karthik, may take such a step in the national interest. 

On June 18, the CAIT appealed for the release of the Chinese brand

On June 15, violent clashes broke out between Chinese and Indian troops in the Galvan Valley. Twenty Indian soldiers were killed in the clashes. On June 18, CAIT, the Confederation of All India Trades, wrote an open letter urging celebrities to abandon Chinese brand endorsements.
