MI vs DC IPL 2020: The 27th match of the 13th season of the Indian Premier League was played between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals at the ground in Abu Dhabi, which Mumbai won. Mumbai Indians led by Rohit Sharma defeated Delhi Capitals by 5 wickets. With this, the Mumbai team went to number one again in the score sheet. This is Mumbai’s fifth win in seven matches.


In this match, Delhi captain Shreyas Iyer decided to bat after winning the toss and scored 162 runs in 4 overs in 20 overs with the help of Shikhar Dhawan’s half-century. In such a situation, the target of 163 runs was to win in front of Mumbai Indians, with the help of half-centuries from Quinton Dickock and Surya Kumar Yadav, Mumbai lost 166 wickets in 19.4 overs to take the match to 5 wickets.

Delhi’s Inning, Dhawan’s fifty

Prithvi Shaw could not maintain his previous rhythm against Mumbai. He was caught by Krunal Pandya at 4 runs off Trent Boult. Delhi got the second blow as Ajinkya Rahane who could score 15 runs in 15 balls. Rahane became the victim of Krunal Pandya in his first match of IPL 2020.

Delhi’s third setback came in the form of captain Shreyas Iyer, who shared a good partnership with Shikhar Dhawan, but became the victim of Krunal Pandya scoring 42 off 33 balls. Shikhar Dhawan hit a half-century in 39 balls. Delhi’s fourth wicket was in the form of Marcus Stoinis, who was run out after scoring 13 runs in 8 balls. Dhawan 69 and Alex Carrie returned unbeaten after scoring 14 runs.

Mumbai innings, Dikock and Suryakumar’s half-century

Chasing 164 against Delhi, the Mumbai team lost the first wicket as captain Rohit Sharma. He was caught by Axar Patel at the hands of Rabada for 5 runs. Dick Ashok was caught by Prithvi Shaw for 53 runs. Suryakumar Yadav also scored 53 runs and was caught out by Shreyas Iyer off Rabada.

Hardik Pandya was dismissed without opening the account. Ishan Kishan got Rabada caught by Axar Patel for 28 runs. Kieron Pollard scored 11 runs for Mumbai and Krunal Pandya returned 12 not out.
