Hyderabad was dealt the second blow by Jofra Archer. He boldly sent back David Warner, batting on 46 runs.
After Warner was dismissed, the run rate of Hyderabad was carried forward by Manish Pandey. He scored a half-century while batting brilliantly. Pandey scored a half-century off 40 balls with 4 fours and 3 sixes. Rahul Tevatiya, off Jayadev Unadkat, sent Pandey back with a catch of 54 runs scored. Kane Williams scored 22 off 12 balls while Priyam Garg scored 15 runs off 8 balls to take the team to 158 runs. For Rajasthan, Joffra Archer, Karthik Tyagi and Jaydev Unadkat took one wicket each.
Rajasthan’s innings, Stokes open
Chasing a target of 159 runs, Rajasthan Royals team sent opener Ben Stokes along with Jos Buttler, who would play their first match in IPL 2020. However, he was dismissed by scoring 5 runs in 6 balls. The captain’s first move failed, but captain Steve Smith himself was run out after scoring 5 runs. They wanted to steal the second run. The third shock came in the form of Jos Buttler, who scored 16 runs and became the victim of Khalil Ahmed.
The fourth wicket of Rajasthan fell as Robin Uthappa, who scored 18 runs, and was dismissed by Rashid Khan. The fifth blow to the team was in the form of Sanju Samson, who scored 26 runs and was caught by Bairstow off Rashid Khan.
