Karan Johar says, “I don’t take drugs or promote them.”

During the interrogation of 2 people of NCB’s Dharma Production in the drug case, Karan Johar has clarified about this. He has released a statement by tweeting. “I never take drugs and I don’t even promote them,” he said. All the talk about my family, friends and Dharma Productions is nonsense. NCB has arrested Kshitij Prasad. Horizon is suspected to have opened several secrets in the interrogation.

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has been interrogating Kshitij Prasad, a former executive producer of Karan Dharma Productions, for the last 20 hours. The NCB also raided Kshitij’s house on Friday. According to sources, drugs were also recovered from his house.

When Kshitij’s name came up, Karan scored 5 points:

  1. Some news channels, print / electronic media, and social media platforms are falsely reporting that I had a party at my house on July 28, 2019, in which drugs were used.
  2. It is also being said that Kshitij Prasad and Anubhav Chopra are my close friends. I want to say in clear words that I do not know them personally and neither of them is my special friend.
  3. Anubhav Chopra was not an employee of my company Dharma Productions, he worked on two projects with the company independently between 2011 and 2013.
  4. Kshitij Ravi Prasad joined Dharmamatic Entertainment in November 2019, a company affiliated with Dharma Productions. He was the only executive producer on a contract basis for the project.
  5. Neither I nor Dharma Productions are responsible for what these people do in their personal lives.
