• Airtel has launched ultra-fast 4G network there to provide high speed internet facility to Andaman.
For India to become a developed nation, it is necessary that modern facilities are provided to every corner of the country. Recently, the Submarine Optical Fiber Cable Connectivity Project was completed at Port Blair, Andaman. Under this, Andaman will get high speed internet facility. Telecom company AirtelIt is the first company to launch an ultra-fast 4G network there. Due to fast internet, the standard of living of the people there will change. This will promote digital services such as online education, tele-health, e-governance services and tourism on the islands. Let us know that the project was started by PM Narendra Modi on 30 December 2018 and the work of laying 2,312 km of optical fiber cable from Chennai to Andaman was started. It cost about Rs 1,224 crore. Apart from Port Blair, 6 other islands of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Swaraj Island, Little Andaman, Car Nicobar, Kamarota, Great Nicobar, Long Island, Rangat will also have fast internet facility.
