She had been battling cancer for a long time. Divya’s cousin Soumya Amish Verma has informed about this through her Facebook post.

Divya wrote in her Last Insta Story, words are not enough for what I want to say. Even if there are many words, there are few. It’s been months since I disappeared and the message is many. This is the time for me to tell you, people, I am on my death bed. Yes, this is it, I am strong. That’s not where life struggles. Please do not ask any questions. Only God knows how important you are to me.
Divya has been a Miss Universe contestant in 2011. In 2016, she made her Bollywood debut with Hai Apna Dil To Awara. In 2018, Divya made her singing debut with Patiala The Queen.
Actors who have worked with Divya after hearing the news of her demise has paid tributes to her. They include Sahil Ahmed, Anjum Fakih, Niharika Raizada, etc.
Divya was from Bhopal’s lawyer family. His schooling took place in Bhopal. She then went to Delhi for graduation. Did an acting course from Bedfordshire University in London.
