What this means for fans and R&B

Scott first broke out in the late 1990s as a spoken-word artist and became a key voice in neo-soul, working with the Soulquarians and earning a Grammy nomination for her 2000 debut, Who Is Jill Scott?: Words and Sounds, Vol. 1. Her return is notable for longtime fans and for the current R&B landscape, which has seen renewed interest in legacy artists releasing new work alongside rising stars.
