SoundExchange names Warren 2025 Breakout Artist

SoundExchange has named Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Alex Warren its 2025 Breakout Artist. The honor follows a year of major commercial success driven by Warren’s global hit “Ordinary” and his debut full-length album, You’ll Be Alright, Kid.

“Ordinary” breaks records and connects worldwide

Released in February 2025, “Ordinary” became a cultural phenomenon. The single is certified triple platinum by the RIAA and has amassed more than two billion streams. It spent ten weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, ten weeks atop the Billboard Global 200 and Global 200 EX U.S., and 13 weeks at No. 1 on the U.K. songs chart.

“Ordinary” also dominated U.S. pop radio, remaining at No. 1 for 16 weeks — a new record for the chart — and finished as the top-selling U.S. song released in 2025 by total units.

Album, streams and touring momentum

Warren expanded on last year’s chapter release with the July arrival of You’ll Be Alright, Kid, which combined Chapter 1 tracks with ten new songs. The album features hits such as “Ordinary,” the collaboration “Bloodline” with Jelly Roll, and “On My Mind” with Rosé. It debuted in the top five on the Billboard 200 and charted strongly across Europe.
