Cam Newton Confirms Arrival of Ninth Child
Former NFL MVP Cam Newton has expanded his family once again, welcoming his ninth child. The former quarterback shared the news of his new baby boy during an upcoming episode of The Tamron Hall Show, confirming with a smile, “He’s already here.”
A Growing Blended Family
This is Newton’s second child with his girlfriend, Jasmin Brown, following the birth of their daughter in March 2024. The new arrival brings the total number of children in his blended family to nine. Newton is now a father to seven biological children and also raises two other children from his partners’ previous relationships, famously stating he doesn’t believe in the concept of “stepchildren.”
“I Don’t Have No Favorites”
In a past interview, the football star emphasized his commitment to all his children equally. “I proudly say I have eight children,” he said before the new arrival. “Six biologically through me. And I don’t believe in stepchildren. What my biological kids get, everybody gets. I don’t have no favorites. I’m raising kings and queens.”
Post-NFL Pressures
The family expansion comes at a time when Newton, 36, has been candid about the financial and personal challenges he’s faced since his final NFL season in 2021. He previously opened up about the difficulties of providing for his family without his NFL income, stating, “It hurts me knowing that I can’t provide like I once did.”
