Jennifer Lopez is making it clear she wants to focus on her work, not her personal life. During a Monday appearance on the Today show to promote her new musical, *Kiss of the Spider Woman*, host Craig Melvin steered the conversation toward her recent divorce.
“In the middle of filming this elaborate, beautiful musical, your divorce was also finalized with Ben,” Melvin started, but Lopez quickly cut him off with a laugh, exclaiming, “There you go! Look at this guy!”
Credit Where It’s Due
Melvin clarified that he brought up her ex-husband because he noticed Affleck was an executive producer on the film. After the lighthearted call-out, Lopez didn’t hesitate to give him his professional due.
“If it wasn’t for Ben, the movie wouldn’t have gotten made,” she stated matter-of-factly. “And I will always give him that credit.” Acknowledging the end of their marriage, she simply added, “And yeah, things happen, you have to keep going.”
